Jami and Tyler's dog Pucca had a birthday party--she is one. She was adorned in a pretty pink collar and this little princess crown ;)
Jami found a recipe for dog cake so Pucca had a treat while we had pizza and cupcakes.
Jami's dad seems to be Pucca's favorite human. I'm seeing pampered children in the future ;)

Isaac

My camera was a bit touchy with movement, but does every mom relate to this picture? Tired mom to the right and boy in constant motion ;)

Isaac is my niece, Tara's little almost 2 yr. old. He is in love with Elmo so Tessa was watching YouTube Elmo videos with him. He goes into a zone.

Beth Moore

Tessa and I are in Green Bay and saw Beth Moore last night and today. It was great as usual! My niece, Tara, lives here so sister, Becky came over to go too. I'm short on words today.

Yes, another one

Are we tired of aprons yet? I made this for Jessee. The buttons
are antiques and add some bling--rhinestones. I think she'll look
stunning in it with her long blond hair.

Dinner by Penny

My new daughter, Penny, made dinner tonight and it
was delicious. It was her family recipe of chicken and
homemade noodles that were much better than dumplings.
She cooked all day. It was so nice to come home and eat
good food I didn't have to cook!

Lake Winona

Monday evening we took the canoe and paddled around on one of the
lakes in Winona. It was perfect and beautiful! I was saving up sights
and smells in my memory so I can retrieve them this winter.

Yamaka and camping

We camped at the Island Campground and Marina in Red Wing. Saturday morning ambitious John wanted to go to garage sales. One lady had this fancy yamaka for sale for 10 cents. Perhaps her ex-husband was Jewish. Right away we thot of Tim who is married to my sister. He has a bald spot that sort of looks like a yamaka. It was good sun protection for the bald spot. And then there's the guy who shaves his head......

AHHHHH Summer!!!

John took me out to see his fields where he had planted clover seed.
He plants the seeds with a seed spreader. It's a bag that hangs around his neck and has a handle
that he turns. If he's walking, he has to walk at a pretty good clip so the seed
goes out evenly. Last year he requested that I bring a book and lawn chair and watch
him. Whatever makes a guy happy ;) This year I drove the pickup and he sat in the back
spreading seed. I had a hard time seeing the tire tracks where I had been so it was a hit and
miss scene. That is one happy dog who loves to run thru tall grass with his ears blowing
in the wind!
An older gent John used to work with plants a garden here. He has a green thumb
and we get to eat lots of good produce.
