Barb, Yes, it is a must see. We hit that last summer when we were on our adventurous summer. Here are a few suggestions I would have. (Sorry, I'm not as sweet as Jody. . .I'm kind of bossy.) Anywho, visitinig the Grand Canyon I would suggest some type of tour or hike into the canyon. Otherwise you just drive forever to get to it, and there it is. You are just standing there. It is beautiful, and watching the sunset was awesome. It was just a bit of a let down, as the hotels/camping areas do not give you a view. The other thing I need to remember is that we had just hiked in Zion National Park, which is another canyon. It is definitely smaller, but you are in the bottom of the canyon with everything surrounding you. If you drove out, you could hit the Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce, which are in Utah, on your way home. That would be an awesome vacation. Ohh, can I come?
